Die Star Wars Fans unter euch dürften bei der Meldung jubeln, auch wenn viele Tie Fighter besser fanden (an dem aber auch schon gewerkelt wird   Yeah

Es geht um XWVM - ein Fan Remake von X-Wing. Ihr benötigt die Original-Dateien dafür und es ist momentan im Alpha-Stadium.

Das Sieht echt richtig nett aus, mal sehen ob sie es fertig bekommen bevor Disney sie versucht zu verklagen.

A sneak peek at the collection of iMuse tracks in X-Wing, synthesized for use in XWVM.

Our collaborator Laserschwert has just released a new batch of sampled audio tracks for the classic iMuse soundtrack.

Listen to it here!

Most iMuse track were dynamic and reacted to the user input and game state, and they will keep doing so in XWVM. However, in order to present it as a normal track in Soundcloud, he chose to just chain several variations.
You can get a good example of this on the "Concourse and Leaving the Independence" track, where the theme plays first as it normally sounds, then it plays again as it would sound with the Historical Combat hangar gates open, then with the Tour of Duty hangar gates open, and finally with the Training Grounds hangar gates open.

The "Space Battle" track is a mix of the themes and event tunes heard during a mission, more or less arranged at random in this track.

Unser Kollaborateur Laserschwert hat gerade eine neue Reihe gesampelter Audiotracks für den klassischen iMuse-Soundtrack veröffentlicht.

Hört ihn euch hier an!

Die meisten iMuse-Tracks waren dynamisch und reagierten auf Benutzereingaben und den Spielstatus. Das wird auch in XWVM so bleiben. Um ihn jedoch in SoundCloud als normalen Track darzustellen, entschied er sich für eine Verkettung mehrerer Variationen.
Ein gutes Beispiel dafür ist der Track „Concourse and Leaving the Independence“. Das Thema wird zunächst wie gewohnt abgespielt, dann wie bei geöffneten Hangartoren des Historical Combat, dann bei geöffneten Hangartoren des Tour of Duty und schließlich bei geöffneten Hangartoren des Training Grounds.

Der Track „Space Battle“ ist eine Mischung aus den Themen und Ereignismelodien, die während einer Mission zu hören sind und in diesem Track mehr oder weniger zufällig angeordnet sind.


Es gibt von Laserschwert auch die Soundtracks von Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis (Fan Soundtrack),Sam & Max Hit the Road und Day of the Tentacle

Den Soundtrack zu X-Wing (der dann eben auch in XWVM zum Einsatz kommt) ist jetzt schon ein paar Jahre alt, daher habe ich angefangen, ihn noch einmal Stück für Stück upzudaten. Diese Updates werden dann auch in jede neue Version des HD-Asset-Packs eingepflegt.
