Zum 12 jährigen hat EA gestern die Command & Conquer Gold Edition rausgehauen. GDI und NOD Isos samt Windows XP Installationshilfe. Hät ich nicht gedacht von EA.

Ich denke mal wenn man die Kompilation der ersten zehn Jahre besitzt, dann lohnt sich dieser Download nur, wenn man das mal in englischer Sprache sehen will?

Finde ich aber auch klasse, dass die den ersten Teil nun als Freeware anbieten. Der ist ja auch mittlerweile alt genug. Und bei EA ist so etwas tatsächlich eine Seltenheit. Aber da dies ja inzwischen schon einige Entwicklerfirmen mit ihren frühen Produktionen machen, dachten sie sich, als großer Publisher müsste das auch mal drin sein. Stärkt ja bestimmt auch das Image.

Von EA hätte ich so etwas auch nicht erwartet! Hab das Spiel zwar eh schon, aber nett ist es trotzdem!

Hats schon einer zum laufen bekommen? Hab mich an die Anleitung gehalten und auch den Patch versucht. Aber direkt nachdem starten kommt "out of memory". Im Netz habe ich keine Lösung gefunden die hilft. Läuft es bei euch?

Demnächst kommt EA mit der Lösung man solle sich Dosbox installieren, unter Dosbox dann win95 und denn darunter CCGold

ich hatte das gemacht , dann den kompatibilität modus auf win95 mit allem drum und drann gesetzt und es lief.

An EA... Na jungs!! wart wohl wieder zu faul um diesen fehler auszumerzen ach ne *kopfklatsch* das würd ja dann wieder geld kosten ..oder Source Code verloren

Bei mir gehts nicht hab. Naja egal hab mir dafür einfach hier die Dos version geholtdie läuft mit dosbox wenigstens einwandfrei.

bei mir schmiert das Spiel ab wenn ich an bestimmten stellen mit einheiten lang gehe auch totaler schwachsinn naja hab ich umsonst bis mission 7 gespielt weil ich jetzt nicht zum tiberiumfeld komme^^

edit: hab das Problem gelöst hab dazu was im Internet gefunden

To fix the bug that causes C&C1 to crash when you move a unit near the edges of the map, disable advanced text services in Windows:
- Go to Control panel
- Open the "Regional and Language Options"
- Go to the [Languages] tab
- Click on "Details..." button
- In the new window that pops up, go to the [advanced] tab.
- Mark the checkbox "turn off advanced text services"

If that does not fix the crash problem try this addition from Komfr:
I had crash when unit with long visibility range (commando, APC) moved to the top left part of the map. The game probably has bug in handling situation when part of unit visibility range circle leaves the upper part of the map and will access incorrect memory address.
Whether or not will the game crash depends on what the content of this memory is (more precisely if it contains some data or if it is marked as invalid by the OS) which in turn depends on type of OS and presence of various programs, drivers or services. This might explain why some people have luck with disabling the advanced text services while it did not help others.
It is possible that this bug was always there, just it did not cause of crash on older and much more forgiving OS. In my case I was unfortunate and disabling of the advanced text services did not help so I looked into the crash and found workaround which prevents the crash for me. Note that this is not correct fix, just dirty modification to prevent the crash and might not work in your case.
The workaround is following. You need to open the c&c95.exe in hexadecimal editor (for example PSPad) and do modifications mentioned bellow (backup the file first). The modifications should be applied in following way. Line 00022821: F6 E9 means that at hexadecimal offset 00022821 within the original file, there should be byte with hexadecimal value F6 and you should modify it to hexadecimal E9. Basically there are two continuous blocks of values you need to modify.

The error message displayed during the crash (it appears behind the game when the game appears to hang, just alt+tab to see it) in my case started with "The instruction at 00432421 referenced memory at". If the address of the instruction is different, this modification will not help

kurze frage:
ist das zusatzpacket auch in einer 95 version erschienen?

Ich hoffe, ich sage jetzt nichts falsches - aber ich meine mich zu erinnern, dass man die normale (für die DOS-Version erschienene) Mission-CD auch mit der C&C Gold-Version nutzen konnte.
Aber nagel' mich jetzt nicht fest...

wenn ich mich recht erinner geht das auch irgendwie, aber die installation war nicht so einfach. aber sicher bin ich mir auch nicht.

wenn ihr euch den blutpatch runterladet ist im Hauptmenü der Punkt Neue Mission dann einfach die Mission Cd einlegen und dann kann man die Mission spielen hier der Link(dann sind es wenigstens Menschen und keine Bots mehr und sie schreien beim sterben lol^^)
