Moonie, the chihuahua who famously portrayed Elle Woods’ dog, Bruiser, in “Legally Blonde” has passed away, the film’s star, Reese Witherspoon, revealed on Friday.

“With a sad heart, I have to let all the #LegallyBlonde fans know that Bruiser Woods (also known as Moonie) passed away yesterday. He was a sweet little Chihuahua who was very loved. I will never forget all the days we spent together . . . I’m sure his tail is wagging in the sky,” the actress wrote on Instagram.
Moonie was a rescue before landing the cushy “Blonde” gig, in which he can frequently be seen donning Tiffany & Co. necklaces and designer sweaters in Bruisers’ signature color: pink.
Though Moonie is best known for his work in the 2001 hit flick, he had a more prominent role in the film’s sequel, “Legally Blonde 2: Red, White & Blonde.” In the film, Elle Woods hires a detective to find Bruiser’s mother so that she can be invited to Elle and Emmett’s (Luke Wilson) wedding. When it’s discovered that Bruiser’s mother is being used for testing at a cosmetics company, Elle goes to Washington, DC, to pass “Bruiser’s Bill,” to outlaw animal testing. It’s later revealed in the film that Bruiser is gay, and has taken up a relationship with a Rottweiler.
Moonie’s trainer, Sue Chipperton, said the dog was 18 at the time of his passing.

Und jetzt helft mir mal bitte. In Legally Blonde 2 wurde doch erklärt, dass man einen unpopulären Gesetzesvorschlag kurz vor der Abstimmung an einen populären anheften soll, so dass zwischen der Änderung der Tagesordnung und der Abstimmung niemand mehr Einsicht nehmen kann/will und dem angehefteten Vorschlag zusammen mit dem eigentlich zur Abstimmung stehenden Vorschlag zugestimmt wird. Oder irre ich mich da völlig und das kam in einem andere Film vor? Die Simpsons-Folge Mr. Lisa Goes to Washington war's wohl nicht, in der ich das gehört habe. Oder doch? Mein Gedächtnis ist nicht mehr, was es mal war.
