Mounting it upside down will prevent you forever from using different SDRAM modules, or using dual RAM, and interact directly with the gpio pins in case future mods are available with new functionality. I thought this way is just better for the user. Also this way allows you to use the cooling system of your choice, you could go fully passive cooling if you wish. I also needed the extra space below the de-10 nano for adding all the outputs i wanted on the back ?
Hi!, it has 2 headers for 2 front usb ports plus 1 internal usb port if anyone wants to install an internal hdd or wifi dongle, or anything else. Analog audio quality is by default like the official i/o but cleaner, as this boards separate power lines from noisy devices, like fans, and other electronics. Also, a plug and play audio improvement module is in development which uses a better dac and provides amplified headphones audio out.
