Zitat:We're not competing (or at least I'm not). byuu's research has helped for most of our accuracy fixes in Snes9x lately, one way or another.
We've gotten rid of almost all the timing hacks in Snes9x, so it should run pretty much anything except the obviously unsupported chips and mid-scanline ppu changes. It's not a situation like ZSNES, where the emulation is grossly inaccurate. Any more it's just the choice of a scanline-PPU and slightly looser timings in a couple of areas making the difference. We've had some discussions lately in the Snes9x issue tracker about how poor the SuperFX emulation timing is, so you're definitely closer to the correct speed playing Star Fox with bsnes/higan.
Oh, and there's obviously the UI differences. I've obviously made the GTK Snes9x UI to my liking, but I'm not overly fond of the windows interface. So, use whatever feels comfortable.
