Zitat:The latest version of DOSBox-X (0.83.3) has been recently released. It is a DOS emulator originally based on DOSBox, but with a lot of added features that does not exist in DOSBox or other forks. Just to name a few of its unique features: support for GUI menu bar & config tool, save and load state, better compatibility with DOS applications, more DOS commands, Pentium MMX & Pro, printer output, long filename and FAT32 disk images, Windows clipboard copy & paste, 3dfx Glide & Voodoo chips, cue sheets with FLAC/Opus/Vorbis/MP3 CD-DA tracks, FluidSynth, NE2000 Ethernet, V-Sync, and many more.

The main differences between DOSBox-X and dosbox-staging:
dosbox-staging prioritizes DOS games, whereas DOSBox-X officially supports both DOS applications and DOS games (with equal focus on them). For example, Windows 3.x and 9x are officially supported by DOSBox-X (part of its goals).
DOSBox-X has many more features than dosbox-staging. The code review system for dosbox-staging is much more strict in adding new features and other improvements than DOSBox-X, especially for non DOS-gaming aspects.
DOSBox-X gives more focus on customizing and configuring the DOS virtual machine (including various DOS and BIOS emulations and tweaks), so there are much more config options in DOSBox-X than dosbox-staging (which helps you test your programs etc).
DOSBox-X also made efforts to aid retro DOS development by attempting to accurately emulate the hardware (so it has a good emulation of e.g. demoscene software), and also supports Japanese NEC PC-98 emulation. DOSBox-staging (as other DOSBox forks) apparently largely ignores this part.
