Chrono Trigger Limited Edition is now out on Steam

In a surprising stealth release, Square Enix announced that Chrono Trigger was released today on Steam for $14.99. Not only does this release of the classic JRPG include the bonuses originally added to the DS release of the title, but seems to come with its own additional enhancements as well. These include an autosave feature, mouse and keyboard support, and an updated soundtrack.

Square Enix also announced that the mobile versions of the game will also receive the visual update alongside this surprise PC release, as well as AppleTV support and cloud save functionality. People who purchase Chrono Trigger before April 2 will receive a small set of digital bonuses, such as a couple soundtrack samplers and wallpapers.

Two Extra Dungeons – Includes the mysterious ‘Dimensional Vortex’ dungeon and the forgotten ‘Lost Sanctum’ dungeon that first appeared in the DS and mobile releases

An enchanting and specially edited digital song file containing a medley of five songs: ‘Far Off Promise’, ‘Wind Scene’, ‘Battle with Magus’, ‘Corridors of Time’, and ‘Chrono Trigger’

In conjunction with the release of the STEAM version, CHRONO TRIGGER for iOS and Android will also receive a major update, which brings all of the enhancements in the PC version to mobile devices. Additionally, CHRONO TRIGGER is also now available on the Amazon AppStore beginning today, bringing the title to an even wider array of mobile platforms.

The mobile version of CHRONO TRIGGER not only features the updated graphical and sound enhancements, but also brings retina and cloud save features as well as AppleTV support to this version.

Ich bleibe bei der deutschen SNES-Version von ManuLöwe, aber finde es trotzdem cool, dass es nun auch bei Steam veröffentlicht wurde und somit auch der nächsten Generation zur Verfügung steht.
